Notice to all ICTSA Olympic Trap and Olympic Skeet Shooter.

The ICTSA have been invited to nominate one athlete who is a members of the ICTSA to be considered for an “Olympic Athlete Scholarship Tokyo 2020”. This invitation is available to 12 athletes nationwide and will cover all Olympic sports and it is hoped that the ICTSA will be one of those sports that are selected.
If you are an Olympic Trap or Olympic Skeet shooter and you fit the following criteria please send you expression of interest to the Honsec@icpsa.ie on or before the 30th April 
Any applications sent after this 30th April will not be considered
Your application should include all of the following information.
Name, Full Address, email address, D.O.B, A copy of a valid Passport, Digital passport type photograph, ICTSA Membership Number, Telephone/Mobile Number, Your Olympic shooting discipline, National Ranking, International Ranking, Primary shooting achievements eg: Personal Best Competitions to date. Training Location, and a declaration if you have dual Nationality,
You must also ensure that:
•    there is no medical issue likely to prevent you from undertaking intensive physical training in view of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
•    That you are compliant with WADA rules and regulations.
•    A short statement as to why you think you should be considered for this scholarship.

Athletes must have the following profile to be considered for a scholarship
•    An international-level athlete practicing an individual sport in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
•    The athlete must have the technical level required to be able to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games. 
•    Proof of the athletes technical sports level must be shown through recent results obtained at national and international level.
•    Priority will be given to athletes who are not in receipt of significant direct athlete funding from any other source.
•    The OCI will make every effort to submit and equal balance of male and female candidates.
•    
The closing date for a candidate to be nominated by the ICTSA is 5th May and all documentation relevant to that candidate should be with the OCI by then. 
Remember any applications sent after the 30th April will not be considered.
It is the ICTSA Executive Board who will make the decision as to who will be nominated and their decision is final. In addition there are no guarantees that the athlete that is nominated by the board will be selected for this scholarship.
