DTL 2018

All members should familiarise themselves with the rules and regulations which apply to Ireland Team members.

Team members from all disciplines other than DTL should note that the ICTSA will only pay for the International shoot at HCIT’s and the open day is not part of the event. In DTL the Ireland Team entry fees for the British Open are paid.

To qualify for a team place in 2018, ALL team members will be required to provide proof of the necessary permit for each event. When completing the team acceptance form you will be required to show a copy of your firearms permit for the country you are attending.

NO PERMIT NO TEAM PLACE.

ICTSC DTL Home Countries International Tournament & BO: Mid-Wales Thursday 19th July 2018 and Friday 20th July 2018.

Senior: Best six scores (600 targets) from 1st September 2017 to include a minimum of two scores from ICTSA Registered events with no more than two scores to count from any one ground. Plus, two best scores (200 targets) from any two of the following three shoots,

Thurles 22nd April 2018,

Bishops Mountain 13th May 2018

Ballynease 24th June 2018.

Plus 200 targets at the DTL Inter-Provincial which is a two-day compulsory shoot at Ballinasloe on the 30th June & 1st July 2018.

Total number of targets – 1000

Ladies, Veteran (55 or over on the 01/01/2018) and Super-Veterans (65 on or over on the 01/01/2018): Best five scores (500 targets) from 1st September 2017 to include a minimum of two scores from ICTSA Registered events with no more than two scores to count from any one ground. Plus, two best scores (200 targets) from any two of the following three shoots,

European DTL Championships: Mid-Wales Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd July 2018

Senior: Top five qualifiers from the combined 2018 Home Countries International Tournament Team selection points. If the first five qualifiers do not accept, each Team member will be asked in turn in order of qualification until a Team is fielded.

Ladies, Juniors (under 21 on the 01/01/2018), Veterans (55 or over on the 01/01/2018) and Super-Veterans (65 on or over on the 01/01/2018): Top three qualifiers from the combined 2018 Home Countries International Tournament Team selection. If the first three qualifiers do not accept, each Team member will be asked in turn in order of qualification until a Team is fielded.

The ICTSA may enter up to three Teams in this event in each category but only the first Team will have the entry fees paid for by the Association.

All DTL selection and compulsory shoots will be pre-entry with individual shooters or complete squads being able to enter a particular time slot subject to availability. Where more than 4 traps are in use, the traps over which a squad will shoot will be drawn at random before the event.

Note: Where a tie occurs for Team selection, unless otherwise stated the next best result of those tied which is NOT being used for Team selection purposes will be compared and the final placing decided. If a tie still occurs, the 2nd best such result shall be compared and so on until the tie is resolved.
