IRISH CLOSE/GOLD CUP WEEKEND SAFETY PROCEDURES

   30 Jul 2020

The following is a list of safety procedures that will be in place at the National Shooting Ground over the weekend, we would ask that all competitors adhere to these procedures in the interest of the health and safety of all involved.

First of all we would ask people who have any of the symptoms of Covid-19 that they DO NOT attend the National Shooting Ground at the weekend, please self isolate and contact your GP.

We would ask all competitors to be at the ground approximately 30 minutes before their allocated wave time, form an orderly queue while maintaining social distance, while you wait to pay your entry fee in the clubhouse (please note that the clubhouse can only be entered to pay your entry fee and is otherwise off-limits). We also advise the wearing of face masks while queuing in the clubhouse.

We strongly advise in the interests of health and safety that ONLY competing shooters attend the shoots over the weekend and that any non-competitors MUST report to management and provide their name and contact details.

There will be no food facility's available at the ground, this is to encourage shooters to vacate the ground once they have finished the competition. Top Oil filling station in Banagher will have Tea/Coffee and Hot Deli facility's available on both days.

Once shooting commences, only the Referee, Marker and squad to shoot will be permitted to enter a shooting layout, NO SPECTATORS. When moving from Peg 5 to Peg 1, we would ask shooters to follow the clearly marked route. There will be designated areas for the Referee and Marker to sit/stand to ensure Social Distancing.

Once a line has been completed, shooters must remain on their Peg until the marker has called out their scores, this is to encourage shooters not to be handling the scorecards.

There will be ample amounts of hand sanitiser and gloves available throughout the ground and we encourage shooters to use them.

We would ask everyone that attends the National Shooting Ground to please adhere to Social Distancing guidelines, it is in everyone's interest to do so, it is a simple request and we would appreciate your co-operation.

Finally on a lighter note, we are pleased to announce that Courtlough Shooting Ground and Irish Shooting Sports are kindly sponsoring 1000 shotgun cartridges EACH towards Sunday's prize fund, we would like to thank them for their kind genorosity.

And finally, we look forward to welcoming everyone to the National Shooting Ground over the weekend and we wish everyone the best of luck and most importantly, a safe and enjoyable bank holiday weekend.

Yours in Sport

National Shooting Ground Team
