Compak Sporting 21th World Championship

Venue: Signes, France
Date: 21st August to 24th August 2025

Teams for this event are as follows:

  • Mens: Team of 3
  • Ladies: Team of 3
  • Juniors: Team of 3
  • Veterans: Team of 3
  • Super Veterans: Team of 3

Please note that FITASC age categories are defined here and may differ slightly from those used by the ICTSA for domestic competitions.

Team Selection Process:

  • Teams will be selected based on the four lowest scores from any ICTSA registered event (or non-ICTSA event, as defined below) held between 25th August 2024 and 30th June 2025.
  • One of the four lowest scores can be from a non-ICTSA event (an event outside Ireland governed by an affiliated association). To submit a score, complete the "Declaration of Score" form, available on the ICTSA website, and send it to statistical@ictsa.ie within seven days of the event, as per Rule 7.12 of the ICTSA day-to-day operating rules. Multiple submissions are allowed if your score improves from a previous submission.
  • Important: All four lowest scores cannot be obtained from the same shooting ground. Scores must come from at least three different shooting grounds.
  • Points will be calculated from the High Gun of the event, with one point deducted for each target missed compared to the overall winning score. Selection will be based on the total points scored.
  • For events with 75 targets, points will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis to a 100-target event.
  • Only registered events with a minimum of 75 targets will count towards the team selection process.

Tie-breaking Procedures:

  • In the event of a tie for team selection, unless otherwise stated, the next best result of those tied (which is not being used for team selection purposes) will be compared to determine the final placement. If the tie persists, the second-best result will be compared, and so on, until the tie is resolved.
  • If a tied competitor has not completed any events beyond those used for team selection, the competitor who has completed more events will be selected.
  • If competitors have completed the same number of events and remain tied after counting all events, a 25-target shoot-off will be held at a date and venue determined by the Sporting Task Group. If still tied after 25 targets, a sudden-death shoot-off will determine the winner.
