To qualify for a team place in 2025, ALL team members will be required to provide proof of the necessary permit for each event. When completing the team acceptance form you will be required to show a copy of your firearms permit for the country you are attending. Please be advised it is a minimum of 12 weeks to receive a UK permit at present and it is the responsibility of the member to have this to be considered for any team place where it is required.

2025 English Sporting World Championship

12-19 July, 2025

 Team’s will consist of the following:

  • SENIORS - One team of five seniors,
  • LADIES - One team of three ladies,
  • JUNIORS - One team of three juniors (under 21 years of age*) 
  • VETERANS - One team of three veterans (over 55 and under 65 years of age*) 
  • SUPER VETERANS - One team of three super veterans (over 65 years of age*)

Senior, Ladies, Veterans, Super Veterans  selected as follows:

  • Lowest 6 scores from any ICTSA event  (or non-ICTSA event see below) from the 8th June 2024 up to and including the 18th May  2025 : Mandatory to have Permit for team place.
  • One lowest point score from a non ICTSA event (an event outside Ireland and governed by an affiliated association)  can count as one of the Six results above. Please complete the “Declaration of Score” form, which can be downloaded from the ICTSA website and return to statistical@ictsa.ie. Submission of such form must be within seven days of the event as prescribed in rule 7.12 of ICTSA day to day operating rules.
  • No more than two results to count from any club or venue or unique combination of same.
  • Results must be from a minimum 100 bird events, Minimum 10 stands.
  • Points are calculated from the High Gun of the event, with one point being incurred for every target less than the overall winning score. Selection will be decided based upon the amount of points scored.
  • In the case of an event being more than 100 targets, points scored will be adjusted up or down as appropriate, on a pro-rata basis, to the equivalent points for a 100 target event.
  • Where a tie occurs for Team selection, unless otherwise stated the next best result of those tied which is NOT being used for Team selection purposes will be compared and the final placing decided. If a tie still occurs, the 2nd best such result shall be compared and so on until the tie is resolved.  In the event that a tied competitor has not completed any other event other than those used for team selection, then the tied competitor that has completed more events will be selected. In the event that tied competitors have completed the same number of events and a tie still occurs after counting all events, then the competitors shall complete a 50 target shoot off for their team place, at a date and venue to be determined by the Sporting Task Group. If they are still tied after 50 targets, the winner shall be decided on a sudden death basis.

Juniors :

  • Lowest 4 scores from any ICTSA event  (or non-ICTSA event see below) from the 8th June 2024 up to and including the 18th May  2025 : Mandatory to have Permit for team place.
  • All other rules as per seniors apply.

 

ICTSC English Sporting Home Countries International Tournament:

Teams for this event are as follows:

  • 15 Seniors
  • 3 Ladies
  • 3 Juniors
  • 3 Veterans
  • 3 Super Veterans

Senior, Ladies, Veterans, Super Veterans  selected as follows:

  • Starting from 8th June 2024 – 29th July 2025. Mandatory to have Permit for team place.
  • The lowest 6 scores from all ESP registered events  (or non-ICTSA event see below) PLUS 1 score from any of X3 Majors to be held in 2025.  
  • Majors will be Irish open, Irish Close, Irish Grand Prix. Venues and dates will be released in 2025 calendar.
  • Major’s Scores cannot be counted as one of your six standard scores.
  • One lowest point score from a non ICTSA event (an event outside Ireland and governed by an affiliated association)  can count as one of the six results above.
